SIM123 Rules

All SIM123 Members are required to adhere to the following rules.

These regulations are generic rules for any SIM123 department.
If you are interested in joining please read below before signing up.

 

 


I. Standard operational procedures

 


Section A, SIM123 group membership, participation promotion, and final authority.

Section A.-1 Membership requirements

A) Philosophy:

     All member candidates must subscribe to the basic  Philosophy of sim123 Group:
  • Maintain the sim123 primary objective of having fun.
  • Compete at all times with "honour".
  • Subscribe to self-improvement.
  • Commit to Group loyalty.

B) Code of Conduct

  • Treat others always as you would like to be treated.
  • Always be willing to assist your fellow sim123 chaps, if asked. If not asked, offer to help.
  • Always represent sim123 in an exemplary manner. You are a representative of  sim123  whenever you are playing online.
  • Profanity is prohibited at all times. Please remember, that there are young people participating in this hobby too.
  • You must participate. sim23 is a team effort and depends on active involvement by all of it's members. If you don't participate, you will never improve. Improvement means more enjoyment of the hobby and contributes to the overall success of the Group on line.
  • Passwords, IP numbers provided for coms or any other purpose are for the sole use of 123 members and shall not be given to third parties for any reason.

C)  Required Simulations/Software:

  • All pilots are required to have the appropriate games software.
  • All pilots are also requested to have TeamSpeak

Section A.-2 Participation requirements.

A)  Required Participation Level:

  • New chaps upon receiving an acknowledgement of application are requested to show up on their respective squad night at least THREE times in 30 days. This is a honeymoon period for both parties, and demonstrates 'Participation'.

If the applicant has not shown up in 30 days, then he/she will be deemed to have never joined.

If the applicant does show THREE times on squadron nights within 30 days of acknowledgement, then his/her name will be added to the rosta and a welcome letter will be sent by the department Skipper.

If the applicant does not show for a continuous period of 60 days, then he/she will be removed from the Rosta but with the option of re applying to join at the sim123 website.

B)  Suspensions:

  • No penalties are awarded providing standard procedures are met.

Section A.-3 Enrolment application.

  • Pilots interested in joining 123US Eagles please use the same form.

Section A.-4 Promotion policy

A)  Promotion Requirements:

  • All chaps are equal, there are no promotions.


Section A.-5
Final authority

  • The Final Authority on all matters of discipline or  policy is made by sim123  elected committee  members.
